Succession planning is the process of compiling necessary information and analyzing options to plan for the future of your business or organization. Succession planning involves preparing to transition your business to a new owner or your organization to new leadership while protecting your financial security and/or ensuring organizational sustainability.

In the case of a business, a Succession Plan encompasses elements of tax, retirement savings, and estate planning to form an overall financial plan.
