Serve it Up – High School Culinary Program

Serve it Up is a pre-apprenticeship program for High School Students; a partnership between the Nova Scotia Tourism Human Resource Council, Education and Apprenticeship. Serve it Up provides an opportunity for students interested in pursuing a career in the culinary trade to gain hands-on, paid experience – while working under the guidance of a Red Seal Chef. This innovative mentorship program meets immediate culinary labour needs and connects employers to future, long-term employees.

Destination Employment

The Destination Employment program helps newcomers to Canada gain meaningful employment in Canadian hotels, giving them the experience they need to build a successful future in Canada.

This initiative is a win-win for both hoteliers and newcomers to Canada. Hoteliers are faced with an existing problem filling the job vacancies they already have, and newcomers to Canada need opportunities to find employment once they settle in Canada.
